Heyyy guys! Hope you are having a great day! It feels like the weekend has already started here, because both kids have the Friday off school. I have to keep reminding myself that today is only Friday. Which is actually pretty awesome.
I started the day with this tasty breakfast: Kitchfix grain free waffles I found at Sprouts, topped with sliced bananas and blueberries, a teaspoon of almond butter, a drizzle of honey and sprinkled with cinnamon to seal the deal.
Some days I amaze myself with a willingness to deviate from my standard peanut butter+berry+honey toast. Today was that day.
Friday has been pretty unproductive so far, but in the most relaxing way. The only thing we managed to accomplish was take kids to get their haircuts. This in itself is a big event. They’ve been long overdue but because of their schedule it’s been tough to find time.
I’ve learned my lesson to take both kids at the same time. Anyone else struggles with a little one who hates or is scared of haircuts? That was my first child. My second one, on the other hand, can’t wait for her turn because she sees big brother get his. So it must be a cool thing to do.
And Maria doesn’t want to be a step behind her big brother. It’s quite heart melting how attached she is to her “Big Bah” and how she wants to copy everything he does!
The little princess is napping right now. Since it’s so nice outside we’ll probably go for a little walk/ stroller run when she wakes up.
This weekend we have quite a swap going on. My mom is flying back home, and my in-laws are flying in same day. They will literally miss each other by a few hours!I am so grateful they are coming because the day my mom leaves is usually a huge downer (we all cry in the car on the way from the airport), especially with my husband out of town. It’ll be nice to have their company.
What are you up to today? Any special plans for Easter? Since I have family coming, I’ll be prepping a few things and sharing them with you soon. Hope you have a great day!
