Happy Friday and Happy Veteran’s Day to all who served!
If you’re like us and get a three day weekend, hope you enjoy it. We booked a trip to Polar Express in Flagstaff for this weekend. Earlier than I prefer for getting into Christmas spirit but the early bird price was worth it. The kids don’t know about the trip yet. Our plan is to load them in the car in the morning and just drive. I already pre-loaded the Polar Express movie on their iPads, as a hint. Can’t wait for their surprised faces! It’s going to be amazing!
But first, below are my latest finds and favs. I love sharing these with you and always look forward to hearing about things you’re loving lately!
I used to religiously create a new photo album each year. Enter my second child 🙂 Now it’s been a few years since any photos have been printed in this house. I think it’s mostly because I dread the whole process of moving photos from my phone to a computer, then uploading them to a printing shop (we usually use Costco), picking them up, etc.
Well yesterday I loaded an app called FreePrints and it’s about to solve all my procrastination problems! You simply open an app and select photos from your camera, Facebook, or Instagram you want to print. You get up to 85 4×6 photos a month for FREE! All you have to pay for is shipping. You’re welcome 🙂
A Bad Moms Christmas
Ever since the first movie came out, I’ve been looking forward to the sequel. You can’t beat the perfect mix of an easy take-your-mind-off-things plot, amazing cast and hilarious catch phrases. Ohh and this one is about Christmas. At the very least it’ll put you right into a Holiday spirit. If you already watched it, what did you think?
Athleta opening in Tucson
Guys… I can’t even explain how happy this makes me! This store has EVERYTHING for an “athleasure” girl like me. I used to have to order things online and send back items I didn’t like. A local store will make it so much easier!
When I’m not sporting yoga pants and sweatshirts, you may find me wearing this gorgeous lacy top:) It’s so dreamy…
I reach for it when I go on a date with the husband or a brunch with girls. Don’t you love to have a piece like that in your closet? It’s so forgiving, yet pulls the entire outfit together. I absolutely adore the lace detail!
Luckily it’s still mid 80s in Arizona and I’ll get another few weeks out of it. I’m also thinking this top will look cute with a leather jacket over it for cooler days.
Here is a similar top for only $22!
Crockpot Chicken Enchilada Soup
I made a slow cooker chicken tortilla soup similar to this one and it was a huge hit. Bonus? It was super easy to assemble and forget about it until it was time to feast 🙂 I also baked a simple corn bread using Trader Joe’s mix to go with the soup. For once, no one minded eating leftovers for a few days!
To get ahead on the Christmas shopping game
Love this gift guide from Pop Sugar!
I’m half way through this book and guys… I have to pace myself. It’s such a page turner.
I am a huge fan of Moriarty’s writing style. Her books are captivating and full of drama, mystery, romance and humor. I always get sort of attached to her characters. Imagine my joy when HBO released Big Little Lies!
This is Us
Don’t laugh. I know, I am so late to this train. But I am ALL IN now. Since I’ve been sick the past week, I binge watched the entire first season and guys… every single episode I’m holding on to a box of tissues and sobbing into my pillow. I’m not talking about a few tears here and there, it’s full on ugly cries. It’s SO GOOD. Each character is so perfectly imperfect and relatable.
I am on Season 2 now and almost caught up to real time Tuesdays episodes. It broke my heart when I found out how Jack Pearson died… Hope they continue bringing back his life scenes from the past. He’s one of my favorite character on the show!
Speaking of movies, what are your favorite Thanksgiving movies to watch with kids? Now that our youngest is almost three, we’re starting to really enjoy our movie nights together as a family. Share your favorites with me!
Wishing you all a lovely Friday and Happy Veterans Day to all who served!
